Vulcania - Clermont Ferrand, France

The Harmatan agency in Paris asked FAD to join their team in developing a new attraction for Vulcania, near to Clermont Ferrand.  The challenge was to create an exciting new feature which should be both a ‘must ride’ attraction but also educational in accordance with Vulcania’s core mission.   The Harmatan team's answer to the brief was Magma Explorer, a thrilling journey of scientific discovery and adventure into the heart of a volcano, created by a vigorous simulator ride with multiple video screens.  Visitor numbers have increased substantially as a result.
